High immunity RCCB TYPE B 63A Residual Current Circuit Breaker
1. General
1.1 Function
Type B RCCBs (Residual Current Circuit Breakers) are primarily used for protecting against pulsating DC residual currents, high-frequency AC residual currents, and smooth DC residual currents in specific applications such as charging electric vehicles and renewable energy sources. They are also used in installations where there is a possibility of smooth DC residual currents, for example, IT networks and UPS systems.
Type B+ RCCBs (Residual Current Circuit Breakers) are mainly used in applications where high-frequency and high-pulse DC residual currents are present, such as photovoltaic (PV) generators, electric vehicles, battery systems, and welding equipment. The Type B+ RCCBs offer additional protection against DC residual currents compared to standard Type B RCCBs.
